Love can’t be translated into dollars and gifts, so we need to stop trying. One thoughtful gift, that shows you know what really puts a smile on the person’s face, is more valuable that a 1,000 gifts bought on impulse. And what about all the people who instead of worrying about gifts, are just worrying about surviving. Clean water is more valuable to them than an iPod or Wii. Let’s give gifts that truly matter. If only we’d understand that our worth isn’t measured by the amount of money we have but by the actions of our lives, this world would be so much better.
