Please note a prayer need forwarded to us by Mathew and Suha Daniel, Pune Home of Hope leaders:
“Greetings in the name of Jesus from Pune!
Please pray for us all. We have been facing a lot of challenges spiritually and need extra prayer covering.
Our girls have been facing a lot of oppression resulting in sleepless nights. This is due to the nature of their past and people who want them to return to their previous lifestyle. This has resulted in diminished trust and affected the program and all that is planned for their development. Some of us are very tired and weak in our bodies. But we won’t give up the fight for our daughters.
The oppression is usually between 10 p.m and 4 a.m every night (This is 11:30am – 5:30 pm Central Standard Time). We request you to pray at these times with the prayer needs mentioned.
Some of the specific prayer points are
Protection: of each of the girls and staff. Some of them feel the sudden urge to leave, taking personal responsibility for the oppression. Despite our reassurances, doubts in their minds still remain.
Power: to fight and defeat the enemy. The girls also need to see God’s power at work in each of our lives, especially in this situation.
Presence of mind: for the staff to be alert and watchful so that each girl is safe, loved and treasured.
God’s presence: that we would all feel God’s presence in the home. Right now many of the girls feel insecure. We pray that all of us will grow closer to God in this time.
Perseverance: to fight it out to the end. We pray that each of the girls will come out victorious and deeply rooted in God through this time of testing.
Despite this, we believe that the victory is just round the corner and God is going to use each of the girls for his glory. The road we’re traveling on isn’t easy but it’s worth the journey.
