Letter from the Editor: January 2012

I  love the start of a new year.

A chance to try new things, a chance to do better. Honestly, every day is a chance to do better than the previous day but there’s just something about January 1. For some reason this date in particular causes us to want to take on new identities or rediscover old ones. Some of us commit to losing weight, eating healthier or spending less money while others plan to climb Mt. Everest. This year Adapt Magazine is not exempt from the New Years resolution feats. In fact, we have quite a list of goals we’d like to accomplish.

Aside from some great interviews, new articles and videos, we’ve got some other great projects up our sleeves. We’re launching a print version of the magazine (get excited), completing the website redesign (fingers crossed) and taking on a whole new audience: teens. Yep, that’s right. Teens. If you’re anywhere between the ages of 16 and 19, welcome to Adapt Magazine. Those of you who subscribe to Adapt Magazine Preferred Reader group will get more details on the reason for the change soon plus a sneak peak of the new cover (If you’re not on the list, you can sign up on http://www.facebook.com/adaptmagazine)! But I will tell you that yes, while the focus of the magazine will be changing every so slightly, the vision will remain the same. Adapt Magazine is still a resource and tool to help you Adapt to Life and Adapt to God. We want to help teens find their identity in Christ and connect them to truth. That’s actually our theme for this year: Identity. Please keep us in your prayers. We’ve got a lot of work to do and a lot of room to grow and after today, only 334 more days to get it done.

Happy New Year
